If your child is glued to a screen and you need some ideas for activities that will engage them in more constructive ways, this post is for you! This is a mammoth list of the best activities kids will love!

If like many parents, you’re feeling a tug of guilt about the amount of time your kid is glued to a screen because of our current global crisis, then you’ll love this post.
I wrote this post due to the response I got back from a recent survey of my audience. The screen-war is real. And it’s in our homes. And because so many people aren’t able to get out and explore freely, having a screen available has been an easy default for many parents. So I wrote this post to give you a treasure trove of ideas that’ll keep your kids busy – and which they’ll LOVE. Yes! That’s right. They will!
What’s more, this list isn’t just for toddlers and young kids. So many people on the internet have got activity lists for kids – but they’re pretty much just for your littles. What do you do with your tween? What do you do with your teenage son?? My list has a range of activities kids will love at many different ages.
Plus, to make it super easy to digest, because let’s be honest, 165 is a rather large number, I’ve created a handy ebook which is coded to easily show you which activities are for younger or older children, which can be done in the kitchen, the garden or the shed. So make sure you grab the handy ebook that goes with this post. It contains over 30 pages of brilliant ideas! This is one resource you’ll want to access again and again!
That’s why this is the best list of screen-free activities kids will love you will find on the internet. So say goodbye to your kid being glued to a screen!
The Best 165 Activities Kids Will Love
Now, this list isn’t exhaustive. I’ve purposefully left out some activities like ‘read a book’ and tried to think a little more outside the box for you.
Also, there are a lot of activities here for older kids (as you’ll notice if you grab the ebook that goes with this post). That’s because there are a ton of articles online listing activities for toddlers available. You don’t need another post like that. And often, it’s our older kids that have a hard time peeling their faces off a screen!
Something to note:
There are some activities that might require your child to use the internet – for example, researching an occupation, or watching the Youtube instructions on how to build your own instrument. I’ve still included these activities in this list because, although there might be some screen involved, the activity itself will mostly be done without the use of a screen (the actual building of the instrument, or the brainstorming of jobs and compiling lists of pros and cons etc.). Whenever the internet is used for an activity, it is really only there for instructional or research purposes.
Grab the handy ebook of this list which also gives you more information about each activity and codes all the activities so that you can easily see which activities would be ideal for your teenage son or your young daughter.
