Use this no-fail method for curing hiccups using a simple and easy recipe that works 100% of the time – guaranteed!

Isn’t it cute when your tiny bundle of joy has hiccups for the first time? I think babies are so cute when they’re hiccuping. It’s like witnessing their first tiny sneeze. Awwww, the cuteness just melts my heart.
As an adult, however, hiccuping and sneezing is nothing short of an annoyance. At least it is for me anyway. And if you’re here, then I can probably assume that it’s an annoyance for you too.
Well, you’re in luck my friend, because today I’m giving you the no-fail method for curing hiccups. Yes, I said no-fail because it has worked 100% of the time I’ve ever used it in over 15 years of my family and I having hiccups. And it works 100% of the time for everyone I’ve ever given this method to.
In my house, we call this “Granny’s Magic Medicine” because I first got this recipe from my Jewish mother-in-law. She’s a font of wisdom and the source of many a great recipe. This one’s no different!
And the beauty of this cure is that it’s simple. So simple, that you’re likely to have the ingredients in your kitchen at any given time.

The #1 Cure for Hiccups
Ingredients:
- a teaspoon of sugar (white or granulated works best)
- a squeeze of natural lemon juice
Method:
- Take a teaspoon of sugar
- Squeeze lemon juice onto the teaspoon so that the sugar is saturated
- Pop into the mouth of the hiccuping person!
Yes, it’s that simple. And YES, it WORKS! Try it. And be sure to share this page with your friends. Just click below to share to your favourite social media platform. Everyone you know (and their mum) will want to have this cure!

Notes on the recipe
I’ve had people ask me whether they can use bottled lemon juice. I’ve found that store bought or ready made lemon juice is nowhere near as effective. I’m not sure if it’s because of whatever else they add to the lemon juice to make it last on the shelves or not. I only know that real, fresh lemons give you the best result.
I’ve also had people ask whether they can use brown sugar, coconut sugar, honey or stevia. To be honest, I’m not a huge fan of white sugar. It’s overly processed and not as healthy as coconut sugar. But for this recipe, it works THE BEST. Don’t ask me why. I’m just the messenger! I’ve tried brown sugar and I’ve had to give my kids two helpings instead of one for the same effect. So they’re having more sugar than necessary in the end. Use white sugar if you want an immediate, fast-acting result. That’s all.
Enjoy a hiccup-free future my friend! 🙂
